Leinster Rugby has officially unveiled its squad for the upcoming 2023/2024 season, featuring a blend of exciting new signings and familiar faces. The club has made a number of strategic acquisitions to bolster its roster, while also saying farewell to several experienced players.
Among the most notable arrivals is Ireland international centre Chris Farrell, who joins Leinster from Connacht. Farrell brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the team, having captained Connacht and played over 100 times for his former club. Another key addition is lock Joe McCarthy, who moves to Dublin from Ulster. McCarthy is a rising star in Irish rugby and is expected to make a significant contribution to the Leinster pack.
Leinster has also bid farewell to a number of players who have made valuable contributions to the club. Long-serving prop Cian Healy has announced his retirement from rugby, while back-row forward Dan Leavy and lock Devin Toner have both departed for pastures new. Leinster will begin their 2023/2024 campaign with a pre-season friendly against Gloucester on August 12th. They will then kick off their United Rugby Championship season on September 16th against the Dragons in Rodney Parade.
