Lorient, France - April 24, 2024 - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) moved within touching distance of a record-extending 12th Ligue 1 title with a dominant 4-1 victory over Lorient on Sunday.
Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring for PSG in the 27th minute, while Kylian Mbappe netted a quick-fire brace in the 37th and 43rd minutes to put the visitors in firm control before halftime.
Despite Mohamed Bamba's consolation goal for Lorient in the 73rd minute, Milan Skriniar sealed the triumph for PSG with a late strike to ensure they maintained their 12-point advantage over second-placed Marseille.
Mbappe was the star of the show for PSG, scoring two goals and providing three assists. The French forward's performance further enhanced his reputation as one of the most lethal attackers in world football.
With just four games remaining in the season, PSG are all but guaranteed to secure the Ligue 1 title. Christophe Galtier's side has been in imperious form throughout the campaign and are on course to complete a domestic double after winning the Coupe de France earlier this month.
