Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer Leverkusen have booked their place in the final of the Europa League after a dramatic victory over Roma at the BayArena on Thursday night.

The German side, who are also in contention for the Bundesliga title, came from behind to win the match 2-1, with Patrik Schick scoring the winning goal in the 90th minute.

Roma had taken the lead through Lorenzo Pellegrini's penalty in the first half, but Leverkusen equalised through Moussa Diaby shortly after the restart.

The match was then set up for a grandstand finish, and it was Leverkusen who struck the decisive blow when Schick headed home a cross from Jeremie Frimpong in the dying seconds.

The win was a major triumph for Leverkusen, who have now reached their first European final since 1988. They will face either Manchester United or Sevilla in the final, which will be played in Budapest on May 31.
